Prior to joining NEXTZON, Segun was the head of management and business consulting in HEIRS Alliance and HEIRS Advisory Services. At HEIRS Alliance , Segun led several project teams involved in designing and implementing a number of the strategic initiatives that set the overall direction for key member companies in the HEIRS group. Under the ongoing privatization process Segun has developed in-depth hands-on experience in privatization advisory. During the attempted privatization of Afribank Nigeria Plc for instance, Segun was a key member of the HEIRS Alliance Financial Advisory team that was involved in undertaking the due diligence and advisory services to acquire the equity stake on offer. At NEXTZON, Segun has developed hands-on experience in Mergers/Acquisitions and led project teams that assisted three banks in defining their post-consolidation strategic direction. Also, as a key member of our West Africa regional expansion team, Segun has also been actively involved in assisting Nigerian organisations set-up/acquire business interests across West Africa . He has also been involved in setting up and developing strategies for organizations in the ePayments and Insurance industries.

Segun was a consultant with Accenture for over five years, where he was a member of the Financial Services Market Unit. During this time, he worked on several projects including Project Evaluation and Investment Advisory for the largest bank in Nigeria, Implementation of Asset and Liability management systems, Implementation of the Flexcube Universal Banking Software for two commercial banks, Design of an e-commerce strategy for a mobile payment company, strategic and operational review for a large international money transfer company , design and facilitation of Strategic Management Sessions for the executive management of a leading regulator in the financial services industry.

Before joining Accenture, Segun worked for Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, as a member of the Corporate Finance Team where he was exposed to Equity Portfolio Management, International Trade Finance and Capital Raising activities via public offerings and private placements.

Segun is the Chief Operating Officer of Nextzon Business Advisors and his areas of expertise include Corporate Strategy, Business Process Design, and Banking systems implementation. He has a B.Sc. degree in Economics, Second Class Upper Division, from the University of Lagos.
